With all the buzz surrounding Faneuil Hall Market Place's ‘next’ restoration, we want to highlight how important it is, as times change, that historic properties are periodically reimagined and even re-restored.
The owners of the lease at Faneuil Hall Market Place, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation, are examining how their buildings can become more successful and dynamic and also include more of the local community, who have been long absent after strong attendees in the 1970’s and 80’s . In the coming weeks we are anxious to see local architect Elkus Manfredi's proposal and review how it will be both historically interesting and economically attractive. We hope that the ‘next’ restoration of these iconic Boston buildings will help the site, which is such a vital asset to the city, to attract and engage both visitors and to residents who had long overlooked it.
